Introducing Anze Kopitar

From the land of Slovenia, where garlic breath is considered a turn-on, comes the next fine Slavic hockey product: Anze Kopitar.

I know you folks on the (l)East Coast probably haven't seen this, so check out his first 2 NHL goals.

Impressive. Most Impressive.

Now, if only he'd get some sleep. Those rings around his eyes make raccoons jealous.

Comments:
That first goal looked like a left-handed Ovechkin. Nice D on it, btw.

What a terrible interviewer after the images.

We always complain about players coming up with cliche answers, but journalists themselves should look in the mirror and stop asking question which are even more cliche or asked that way that just a cliche answer is possible.

I had the same experience last night in Vsetin, 20years old Martin Davidek scored his first extraliga goal, GWG for local derby Vsetin-Zlin. After the game, he made his first interview ever and it was a clear mirror for those cliche questions - the same quetions any other older player would overcome with the same cliche answers, this young guy replied with frank answer - "what can I answer to such a questions?".

on the other hand, most of the players has been playing hockey since they were 4 years old so there is no expectation they will be able to answer anything original... :)

Anyway, hockey journalists need some Courses of Original Questions" :)

Anze and I have the same eye-circles problem. Apparently it's not lack of sleep but blood circulation and genetics but it's not something a little concealer can't fix :P

Paul Maurice, however, gives Anze some competition in the black eyes department.;
