On a Wing and a Prayer

Dear Detroit,

Thank you so very much for beating the Edmonton Oilers cleanly in a 2-0 victory and keeping Vancouver's miniscule playoff hopes alive. Since the Vancouver Canucks can't seem to win any of their own games, we have to rely on others to do the hard work for them.

Your city is still a rotting cesspool of death, disease, and depravity, but we appreciate your efforts nonetheless. (Maybe Joe Louis has great feng shui, eh?)

Sincerely,

Jes

PS: If you don't like Jiri Hudler and don't want to give him ice time, send him over here when he can be loved and appreciated.

Comments:
As fun as it is to watch Detroit crush the spirits of Oiler fans everywhere, I can't help but feel a little empty inside knowing Detroit won't be able to kick the crap out of St. Louis this postseason.

Oh well.

not in baseball apparently this year either lol. two bad detroit has two hockey owners up there and only one of them owns a local hockey team :)

Baseball, meh. The Lions however, now there is a soul crushing sports franchise.

Friggin Red Wings!!!1

Argh!!!!!

Jiri Hudler and Valtteri Filppula would be top six forwards on more than half of this years teams.

On Detroit they're in the minors.

Damn they're good at drafting prospects!

And if they get Igor Grigorenko under contract before he becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer, they'll still be winning President Trophys until 2015.

Yuck!

It's nothing a 10MT airburst wouldn't cure.

Can you come up with some new material? That's got to be the 5th time I've seen that 10MT comment between various blogs and fanhome.

Well I was considering anthrax--but really? Anthrax spreads a lot more (and is harder to clean up) than a nice neutron bomb.

Perhaps a backpack nuke would be better, hmm?
